Welcome to the online presence of the Union-Congregational Church of Waupun, a church in the United Church of Christ. No matter who you are, where you are on life’s journey, or what has happened in your life up until now, you are welcome here!
We are a church of people from many different backgrounds. We are Waupun-born-and-raised and newcomers to the community. We are teachers and students. We are business owners and law enforcement officials. We are executives and tradespeople. We are farmers and city dwellers. We are workers and retirees. We are people whose faith has sustained us for a long time and people who have wrestled with our faith. We take the Bible seriously because sometimes it cannot be taken literally. We care for our environment and work for justice in a world of need.
Our history since 1845 has brought together four churches into one. Our members and friends have come to us from various Catholic and Protestant upbringings. We love to laugh together, and we are honored to support one another on our faith journeys. We are all beloved children of God and recognize that we are each created in God’s likeness. We welcome you no matter your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability or disability, or socioeconomic status.
If you’re looking for a warm, friendly, and progressive Christian community, I encourage you to join us for worship in person and online. Our church is physically accessible throughout the entirety of the building, with ample wheelchair access and hearing assistance devices.
