Welcome to the online presence of the Union-Congregational Church. It is our hope that your visit with us will prove well worth the time you spend exploring our site, and that the experience will pique your interest to the point that you will be anxious to visit with us in person in the near future.
Do you crave a spiritual home base?
Are you longing for a sense of belonging and involvement?
Are you anxious to find meaning in your unanswered questions?
Are you ready to make significant relationships with your neighbors?
…with God as known in Jesus Christ?
Great! Then the Union-Congregational Church is easily the place for you. We’re not perfect, but the One we worship here is, and there is a profound blessing in knowing both. At one hundred and sixty-plus years young, we have a long, rich, very diverse heritage here in Waupun. Our congregation reflects the character of our community and is full of people with whom you’ll feel right at home and immediately wish to become friends.
Through our affiliation with the United Church of Christ we are blessed with sound theological legs to stand upon, and a united and uniting way of being Church that reaches directly back to the Pilgrims and from there to the birth of Protestantism. Equally true, we have a contemporary and progressive vision, worship style, message, and purpose that keeps us forward-looking and moving, socially engaged, and ever eager to “push the boundaries” as we seek to learn what new thing God has in store for us.
To maintain the life and vitality of a truly vibrant community of God we believe our doors must swing wide to welcome and include all people, as there is great strength and richness in diversity. This includes those from all religious or no religious backgrounds. We maintain God is still speaking a relevant and timely Word for us, our families, our nation, our world.
Join us in fulfilling Jesus’ dream for the last and the least among us, as together we do what we can to build a world of justice and peace.
Won’t you worship and grow with us in the ways of Christ? We’re not complete without you!
